I have no idea what I’m doing.
I have no idea how to do this blog thing but I’m going for it.
The purpose of this blog is primarily an attempt to retain sanity.
I think a lot, I wonder a lot, I worry a lot and I’m aware that none of those activities are necessarily helpful. People seem crazy to me, but I know i’m the odd one. I hope to make this a nice place for me to publish my thoughts without annoying people who aren’t interested. Facebook is often a place i’ve discussed things that are important to me, but i really don’t think it’s a good place for it. Facebook is not the place for me to preach or even to discuss things that are interesting to me, especially since the most interesting things to me are ethics and morals. In this global world of news and social media there are loads of religious people talking about ethics and morals. There are so many people who identify with religious ideas it seems important to examine and differentiate between constructive and destructive ideas. Unfortunately it seems most religious people are less interested in improving ethics and the overall well-being of life on this planet than I am. Most religious people seem far more interested in bolstering their faith than discovering truth. This means I end up offending or insulting friends and family who I care for deeply when I challenge beliefs they are attached to. Facebook is for sharing adventures with your friends and family. I hope my friends and family will appreciate my efforts to allow them to avoid bumping into my thoughts!
